The Bridal Veil aka Cirrus Network and Filamentary nebula is a Supernova remnant and emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is expanding at approximately 100 km / second and lies 2,500 light years from earth. This supernova remnant is the remains of a star that dramatically exploded about 35-40 million years ago. The discarded material was ejected into space and shows primarily as ionized hydrogen (red) and inoized oxygen (blue).
