Notes:

This Supernova remnant is a very large and faint nebulae resulting from a violent star explosion (Supernova) about 100,000 years ago.The violent thermonuclear blast expelled gas, which continues to expand and be illuminated and shaped by the shockwave. The gas is primarily excited hydrogen.
The explosion also left a remnant in the form of the collapsed star, which is a very dense rapidly spinning neutron star known as a pulsar (J0538+2817), similar to the one that powers the Crab Nebula, also in the constellation Taurus.
