Chiefland Star Party 2004
The South and central Chiefland fields early in the week. Somewhere I archived the other parts of this panorama. 8<(
Me (Charlie Warren), my imaging rig and the rather large scope case on wheels. Parked at camp Clark between Tom's nice shop and the observatory housing the "Beast" (42" dob).
Alan Chen (right) and his 12" Meade on Losmandy Titan camped with other members of the Central Florida Astonomy Society. Alan is smiling, but thinking "What kind of %$#%*@! idiot would fire a flash at a star party?" That's OK, the stars he saw after this exposure were the only ones he was going to see this night due to a total cloud out.
Big Mak Cass in a Sky tent belonging to David Hearn of Pro-Cyon systems.
On right is Bob Holzer parked back at Camp Crowley aka Atlanta south. "Hey Bob , where's the FSQ?" Bob was playing around with his new camera lense adaptor. Tak EM 200, guided with an STV. Hmmm...... can you say "over mounted?" He sure got some great widefield images though.
My avid sky hunting next door neighbor (Cathy) at Camp Clark with her trusty dob.
